During Lent we will listen to the stories that are foundational to our faith. On March 12, we’ll remember how Abraham and Sarah journeyed into the wilderness on faith, and consider what it means to be born of the Spirit.
The Arlington Children’s Chorus will sing at this ecumenical community worship at Arlington Forest UMC, 4701 Arlington Boulevard. Participating congregations are Bethel, AFUMC and Arlington Church of the Brethren. Parking is tight so consider walking from Bethel or car-pooling.
We will have a short, simple service. Children welcome!
Come to a simple supper at 6:15 or study from 7 to 8 pm or both! This year we will study African American spirituals and the scriptures upon which they are based.
The prophet Isaiah reminds us that we are God’s polished arrows, sent to fight injustice. Join us, there is much to do.

We will light the advent wreath and celebrate Holy Communion. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table. We celebrate with grape juice and bread.
We will tell the well-loved story of God With Us; the baby born in a manger. If you would like to participate, select a costume and join in! We’ll light the Advent wreath and celebrate the last Sunday of Advent.
