Christian Education

At Bethel we believe that Christian Education is a lifelong journey.  Our relationship with Christ is always growing and evolving.  We create opportunities for all ages to learn about the Bible and explore their faith in safe and creative ways.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

biblePeriodically, we gather in the church Library or Conference room to explore scriptures and questions of faith, often centered around a series theme. No advance preparation is required and all are welcome.  During Advent and Lent, we typically precede our sessions with a light supper.   Check with us as we determine the fall schedule for 2018. If you have ideas or suggestions of topics to explore in Bible Study contact Pastor Anne Holmes.

Third Thursday Lunch

On the third Thursday of each month we gather at noon in the Conference Room or Fellowship Hall with a brown bag lunch to share our lives and thoughts with one another as we break bread.  This is a chance to be in fellowship and prayer together and build community.

craft2Church School

Bethel’s Sunday school reflects the larger community it serves. Children of all ages (2 years of age through middle school and from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and religious traditions) come to learn about God, Jesus, the Bible, and what it means to live a Christian life. The children meet on Sundays during worship after the portion of our service we call Time with Our ChildrenRead more…

Youth Opportunitiesacolyte

High school youth at Bethel are encouraged to participate in all aspects of church life.  Our youth may serve as acolytes, greeters and readers during Sunday morning worship services.  The youth are very important at Bethel and we celebrate all the gifts they bring to our community. To expand their opportunities, Bethel encourages youth to participate in the UCC Potomac Association’s youth activities, including mission and service projects and trips.
